COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement:

Applicants with medical exams scheduled on or after October 1, 2021, are required to complete the COVID-19 vaccination series before the medical appointment. The administered vaccine should be listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization (WHO) or the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) must have licensed or authorized that particular vaccine.

Exemption: Children or young adults who have been advised by National Command Operation Center (NCOC) against receiving the COVID-19 immunization are exempt from this requirement. Applicants for whom the vaccine is contraindicated are required to provide all medical reports supporting the contraindication for their condition.

Medical Exam Instructions

All immigrant visa applicants, regardless of age, require a medical examination prior to the issuance of a visa. Only a physician accredited by the U.S. Embassy can perform this exam. Medical examination results from other physicians will not be accepted.

You must schedule a medical exam with one of the doctors listed below at least three weeks before your visa interview (two weeks for children under 14). Please visit doctorvisa.org to schedule your appointment. You will need your online profile registration number. Ensure your contact information is accurate as you will receive a confirmation email and phone call with additional instructions for your exam.

Fees

Medical examination fees, including x-ray and blood tests, must be paid directly to the examining physician. The basic exam fee is approximately $415 per person. Additional vaccinations, x-rays, or follow-up tests will incur extra fees, which can total up to $695 per applicant depending on personal medical conditions.
